Montenegrin Second League (Druga fudbalska liga Crne Gore) - the second tier of club football in Montenegro, organized under the Football Association of Montenegro. Regulations: the competition is played as a league with 10 clubs, using a four-round round-robin format (36 matchdays), with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. League positions are determined by points, then goal difference, then goals scored, and if still level the teams share the relevant position. If the tie affects the championship or participation in play-offs, an additional head-to-head table is applied among the tied teams, using points and goal difference first, then away goals scored when two teams are tied or total goals scored when three or more teams are tied, and if the tie still cannot be resolved the overall goal difference from all matches is considered, followed by decision matches on a neutral venue with penalties if required, or a mini-tournament or knockout format depending on the number of teams, and drawing of lots is possible by mutual agreement. The champions are promoted directly to the Montenegrin First League, while the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd enter two-legged promotion and relegation play-offs against the 8th and 9th teams from the First League, decided by points across two legs, then goal difference, and then penalties if still level. The bottom team is relegated directly, and the teams finishing 8th and 9th may be required to defend their status in relegation play-offs against top regional teams under separate regulations.
