NM Cup (Norway) (Norwegian Football Cup, Norgesmesterskapet i fotball for menn) - Norway’s national knockout cup competition for clubs organised by the Norwegian Football Federation. Regulations: the tournament is played as a knockout competition, the number of participating clubs and the stage structure are set for each season, reserve teams are not eligible, and the current model may split the cup cycle into an autumn segment with early rounds and a spring segment with the decisive rounds and the final. In every round, including the final, if the score is level after normal time the match goes to two 15 minute extra time periods, and if still level it is decided by a penalty shootout. The cup winner is crowned Norway’s cup champion and earns the right to represent Norway in the UEFA club competition allocated for that season, subject to entry and licensing requirements.
