Paraguay Cup (Copa Paraguay) - Paraguay’s annual domestic knockout cup organised by the Paraguayan Football Association. Regulations: the competition is played as single-match elimination, with the field built from APF divisions and clubs from the interior game, and the national phase typically features 75 teams, including 12 from the top division, 16 from División Intermedia, 18 from Primera B, 12 from Primera C and 17 from UFI, with early rounds starting among lower-division and UFI teams before Intermedia and top-division clubs enter in later stages. If a tie is level after regulation time, the winner is decided by a penalty shootout. The cup winner earns a berth in the following season’s Copa Libertadores and the right to play the Supercopa Paraguay, and if the winner cannot use the continental berth or has already qualified by another route, the berth is reassigned under the season regulations.
