Peru Cup (Copa Perú) - a national competition and multi-stage qualification system for amateur and regional clubs in Peru organised under the Peruvian Football Federation. Regulations: the tournament runs through District, Provincial, Departmental and National stages, with early pathways administered through local leagues and associations, and home and away ties widely used from the Provincial stage onward. At the Provincial stage, teams are placed into groups, then group winners progress into knockout rounds, and the provincial champion and finalist advance to the Departmental stage. The National stage is structured as a 64-club bracket, the rounds of 64, 32, 16 and the quarter-finals are played over two legs, the semi-finals and final are single matches at neutral venues, and if a tie remains level on points and goal difference the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. Promotion places are defined by the season regulations, with the current model awarding the National champion promotion to Liga 2, the runner-up entering a promotion play-off for an additional Liga 2 place, and four top-ranked teams from the National stage final table promoted to Liga 3.
