Primera División (Peru) (Liga1 Te Apuesto) - the top tier of professional club football in Peru, organized under the Peruvian Football Federation and the Liga de Fútbol Profesional. Regulations: the season has three stages - Apertura, Clausura and Play-Offs; Apertura and Clausura are single round-robin leagues with 19 matchdays, teams play each opponent once per stage, and points are awarded 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The Apertura and Clausura tables are ranked by points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then the fair play ranking based on disciplinary deductions, and finally by a draw of lots. An aggregate table is also formed from all Apertura and Clausura matches, excluding any stage-decider matches, and is ranked by points, goal difference and goals scored, then by head-to-head results between tied teams in the order head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference and head-to-head goals scored, followed by combined fair play and, if needed, a draw of lots. The Apertura and Clausura winners qualify for the championship Play-Offs only if they finish within the top eight of the aggregate table, together with the best placed clubs in the aggregate table as defined by the regulations, with semi-finals and a final played over two legs; ties are decided by points across the two matches, then goal difference, then penalties. If the same club wins both Apertura and Clausura it is declared champion directly, and a separate Play-Off sequence determines the runner-up from the top aggregate teams, with ties again decided by goal difference and penalties. Continental qualification awards Copa Libertadores places to the teams finishing 1st to 4th and Copa Sudamericana places to 5th to 8th, while relegation is determined by the bottom three of the aggregate table.
