Stars League (Qatar) (Qatar Stars League, also known as the Ooredoo Stars League) - the top professional club football division in Qatar organised under the Qatar Football Association. Regulations: the competition is played in a double round-robin format, each club plays 22 matches, teams receive 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, the 12th-placed team is relegated to the second division and the 11th-placed team plays a play-off against the second division champion, with extra time and a penalty shoot-out if the play-off is level. If teams are level on points in the title race, the tie-breakers apply in order as head-to-head goal difference, overall goal difference, goals scored, total wins and then a play-off match, while in all other cases the tie-breakers apply as overall goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head goal difference, total wins, disciplinary points for cards and then drawing of lots.
