Liga 2 (Romania)

Liga 2 (Romania) (Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor) - the second-tier professional club league in Romania, organised by the Romanian Football Federation (FRF). Regulations: the competition features 22 teams, the regular season is played as a single round-robin (21 matchdays) with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, after which the top six qualify for the promotion play-off played home and away (10 matchdays). At the end of the play-off, teams placed 1-2 are promoted to Liga 1 (Liga 1), while teams placed 3-4 play two-legged promotion-relegation ties against the teams placed 8th and 7th in the Liga 1 (Liga 1) play-out. The remaining 16 teams enter the relegation play-out, split into two groups of eight based on regular-season positions, each group is played as a single round-robin (7 matches), the bottom two in each group are relegated to Liga 3 (Liga 3), and the 6th-placed teams in the two groups play a two-legged tie to decide the final team to be relegated. If teams finish level on points in the regular season, FRF tie-breakers apply in this order: points in head-to-head matches, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, head-to-head away goals scored, then overall goal difference and overall goals scored, and if still level a play-off match is scheduled.
