

Second League A - Autumn Stage, Gold (Russia) - the autumn stage of the national club competition “Second League Division A” run under the RFU and the FNL, forming the third level of professional football in the country below the Premier League and the First League. Regulations: the Gold group typically features 10 clubs and is played as a double round-robin, with each team facing every opponent home and away, awarding 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The standings are determined by points, then head-to-head criteria where teams have played the same number of matches against each other, followed by total wins, goal difference, goals scored, away wins and away goals, disciplinary points and drawing of lots. After the autumn stage, the season continues with a rotation between groups: as a rule, the top 6 from the Gold group remain in the Gold group for the spring stage and the other 4 move to the Silver group, while the spring Gold group is completed by teams moving up from the Silver group, and promotion to the First League is determined by the final spring standings subject to RFU admission and licensing requirements.
