Second League A - Promotion Play-offs (Russia)

Second League Division A - Promotion play-offs - transition play-off matches in the Russian Second League Division A that determine an additional club awarded the right to play in the Russian First League in the next sporting season. Regulations: only clubs holding a Russian Football Union licence (category II) for First League participation may take part, the first participant is the team finishing 3rd in the second stage of the Gold Group, the second participant is selected from the first-stage Gold Group standings with priority given to the highest placed eligible team from 1st place downward, excluding any team that already earns First League rights via the second stage or finishes in the bottom three of the Gold Group second stage, if the 3rd-placed second-stage team also meets the criteria for the second participant the play-offs are not held and that team is awarded the First League right. The play-offs are played as one home-and-away tie, each team plays one match at home and one away, and the winner is decided by aggregate goals over the two matches, if level after the second match extra time is played and, if required, a penalty shoot-out is held.
