

Second League A - Spring Stage, Gold Group (Russia) is the spring stage of the Russian “Second League Division A” competition within the FNL system, played with two groups of 10 clubs each, “Gold” and “Silver”, across two stages with rotation between the groups after the autumn stage. Regulations: in the spring stage the Gold Group plays a double round-robin format home and away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, standings are decided by points and, if level, by head-to-head criteria first, then overall performance criteria for the stage, then disciplinary points and drawing of lots. At the end of the spring stage, the teams finishing 1st-2nd earn the right to play in the First League subject to meeting admission requirements and licensing, the 3rd-placed team may enter promotion play-offs subject to admission requirements, licensing and the applicable play-off rules, while teams finishing 7th-10th leave the Gold Group and move to the Silver Group for the next stage.
