

Second League A - Spring Stage, Silver (Russia) - the spring stage of the Russian Second League Division A within the FNL system under the RFU, where clubs compete for the Silver group standings and the right to move into the Gold group for the next season. Regulations: the season is played in two stages, the spring stage uses a double round-robin home-and-away format, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, the Silver group line-up for the spring stage is formed from the autumn stage with rotation between the groups, with the teams finishing 7th-10th in the Gold group moving into Silver and the teams finishing 1st-4th in Silver moving into Gold, and the winners of the Division B groups may also be included in Silver subject to holding an RFU-3A licence. If teams are level on points, places are decided by head-to-head results, then total wins, overall goal difference, overall goals scored, away wins and away goals, then lower disciplinary points, if still level the previous season’s final table position is used, and if still level in the final table an additional play-off match or mini-tournament is arranged on terms set by the FNL in coordination with the RFU. At the end of the spring stage, the teams finishing 1st-4th in Silver earn the right to move into the Gold group for the next season, while teams in the lower places may lose their place in Division A and drop to Division B in line with participation requirements.
