

Second League (Russia) - Division B, Group 2 - one of the territorial group competitions within Russia’s Second League, which sits in the professional league system below the First League and the Second League - Division A. Regulations: the group’s line-up and calendar are approved for each season, matches are played in a round-robin format, typically home and away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, places are decided in order by head-to-head results (points, wins, goal difference, goals scored), then total wins, overall goal difference, overall goals scored, away wins, away goals and fewer disciplinary points. If all criteria remain level in the final table, places are decided by an additional match or a mini-tournament, with the time, venue and conditions set by the league. The group winner earns the sporting right to play in the Second League - Division A in the “Silver” group at the second stage subject to obtaining an RFU 3A licence, if the winner does not obtain the licence or declines, the right passes to the second-placed team that holds an RFU 3A licence, and restrictions on two teams from the same club participating in the same competition and group are applied.
