Youth Championship (Russia)

Russian Youth Championship (Russia) (Youth Football League, MFL) - a national youth club competition organised under the Russian Football Union. Regulations: the system includes two divisions - Division A and Division B, with 16 teams in each, played as a double round-robin where every team meets each opponent home and away for 30 rounds. A win is worth 3 points, a draw 1, and a loss 0. If two teams are level on points, places are decided in order by head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, total wins, overall goal difference, goals scored, away wins, away goals, then fewer disciplinary points, while ties involving three or more teams are resolved by a mini-table criteria and then overall metrics, also including disciplinary points. If all criteria remain level for two teams finishing in the top two places, the division winner is decided by an additional match, and if that match is level after normal time the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. Promotion and relegation between divisions: the 15th and 16th teams in Division A move to Division B, the 1st and 2nd teams in Division B move to Division A, and the 13th and 14th teams in Division A play two-legged play-offs home and away against the 4th and 3rd teams in Division B respectively, with the tie decided on aggregate goals and, if still level, a penalty shoot-out after the second leg.
