

Division 1 (Saudi Arabia) (Yelo League) - the second-tier professional club league in Saudi Arabia, organized by the First Division League (FDL) within the national federation competition framework. Regulations: the competition is played as a full double round-robin league, with each team playing every other team twice, home and away, and points are awarded as 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss, with the final standings determined by total points. If teams are level on points at the end of the season, positions are decided by the following criteria in order: points in head-to-head matches among the tied teams, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, then those head-to-head criteria are reapplied only to the teams that remain tied, followed by overall goal difference and overall goals scored, then an on-field procedure may apply for two teams in the final round if they are together at the stadium, then disciplinary points based on cards, and as a last resort one-off play-off match or matches may be scheduled by the organizer. The teams finishing 1st and 2nd are promoted to the Saudi Pro League, and a third promotion place is decided via a promotion play-off involving 3rd to 6th: 3rd hosts 6th and 4th hosts 5th in single-elimination matches, with the winners meeting in a one-off final at a venue selected by the league, and extra time and penalties are used if level. The bottom three teams are relegated to the lower division.
