

Superliga (Serbia) (Serbian SuperLiga, organised by the Football Association of Serbia) - the top professional club division in Serbia. Regulations: 16 clubs take part, the season is played over 37 rounds in two phases - a preliminary phase (30 rounds, double round-robin, each team plays home and away against every opponent) and a final phase (7 rounds), after 30 rounds the table splits into two groups: 1st-8th play the play-off and 9th-16th play the play-out, in the final phase each club plays one match against each opponent within its group, points are carried over, and the final standings are fixed separately by group, meaning play-off clubs cannot finish below 8th and play-out clubs cannot finish above 9th. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss, during the preliminary phase interim rankings use goal difference and then goals scored, while the final positions after 30 rounds are decided by head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference and further tie-breakers defined by the rules if needed, and in the final phase ties on points are resolved by the higher position achieved at the end of the preliminary phase. At the end of the season the clubs finishing 13th-16th are relegated to the Serbian First League, while the teams finishing 1st-2nd in the First League are promoted subject to licensing. UEFA qualification is allocated as follows: the champions enter UEFA Champions League qualifying, the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd enter UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League qualifying according to the UEFA access list, if a club in places 1-3 is also the Serbian Cup winner the UEFA place passes to the 4th-placed club, and if a club is not licensed the place passes down to the next eligible team.
