Cup (Slovakia) (Slovak Cup, Slovnaft Cup) - Slovakia’s national domestic cup competition organised by the Slovak Football Association (SFZ), played as a knockout tournament and held since 1969. Regulations: clubs from different levels of the Slovak league system participate, most rounds are decided by a single match, while the semi-finals are played over two legs home and away. If a single-match round is level after 90 minutes, no extra time is played and the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out, while extra time is provided in the second leg of the semi-final and in the final, followed by penalties if still level. The cup winner qualifies for UEFA club competition via the UEFA access list, typically the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round, subject to club licensing requirements, and if the cup winner has already qualified for Europe via the league, the cup-winner berth is reallocated in line with UEFA entry rules.
