

Super Liga (Slovakia) (Niké Liga) is the top professional club division in Slovakia run by the Union of League Clubs. Regulations: 12 clubs take part, the season is played on an autumn-spring calendar, the regular stage is a double round-robin (22 rounds), then the table splits into two groups - places 1-6 play a championship group and places 7-12 play a relegation group, with a further double round-robin inside each group (10 rounds), making 32 rounds in total. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss, ties on points are broken by head-to-head points and head-to-head goal difference first, then overall goal difference, goals scored, total wins, away wins, total draws and away draws, and if the title, advancement, relegation or promotion cannot be decided by these criteria a qualification match is ordered under league conditions, with extra time and penalties if level. The team finishing 12th in the relegation group goes down to the second tier, while the 11th-placed team plays a two-leg relegation play-off against the team finishing 2nd or 3rd in the second tier, away goals are not used, and if aggregate scores are level extra time and penalties are played in the second leg. UEFA qualification is allocated by the final table and the association quota subject to club licensing, typically the champions enter UEFA Champions League qualifying, the domestic cup winners enter UEFA Europa League qualifying and the remaining places go to UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, and if the cup winners also finish in the top three an extra Conference League place is decided via 4th vs 7th and 5th vs 6th with a final between the winners.
