

Slovenian Cup (Pokal Slovenije) - the national knockout cup competition in Slovenia organised by the Football Association of Slovenia (NZS). Regulations: following the 2022/23 competition redesign, the cup is completed within a single competition season across regional and national levels, with 120 clubs entering the first round and the preliminary, first and second rounds played within the regional associations, while six top-flight clubs join in the first round and a further four clubs representing Slovenia in European competitions join in the second round. From the third round, the Round of 32, the competition is run directly under the national association, the draw is unseeded and there is no automatic home advantage for the lower-tier club. All rounds are played as single-match ties, if level after 90 minutes extra time of 2 periods of 15 minutes is played and penalties follow if still level, and the final is staged at a venue appointed by the association’s executive decision. The winner earns a place in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, with the entry round set by the UEFA access list for the relevant season.
