Somali Premier League (Somalia) (Somali First Division, also Somali National League) - the top tier of club football in Somalia organised by the Somali Football Federation. Regulations: it is played as a national league, typically with 12 clubs in a double round-robin home-and-away format, using the standard points system of 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams finish level on points, goal difference is the primary tie-breaker, and goals scored are commonly applied next, with any further criteria set by the season regulations. At season end, the bottom two clubs are relegated to the Somali Second Division, while promotion from the second tier follows the season rules. The champions qualify to represent Somalia in the CAF Champions League subject to the country’s allocation and entry requirements.
