Segunda Federación play-offs (Spain) (Play Off de Ascenso a Primera Federación) is the second stage of Spain’s fourth-tier league organised by the Royal Spanish Football Federation that awards five promotion places to Primera Federación in addition to the five direct promotions for group winners. Regulations: the play-offs include the 20 clubs finishing 2nd to 5th across the five groups and are played as a knockout with two rounds, semi-finals and finals, with every tie contested over two legs. Pairings are drawn by lot, matching higher finishers against lower finishers and, where possible, avoiding same-group pairings until the final, and the first leg is hosted by the lower regular-season finisher. Each tie is decided on aggregate goals, if level after regulation time in the second leg there is 30 minutes of extra time, if still level the higher regular-season finisher advances, and if both teams had the same finishing position the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out under RFEF rules.
