Premier League (Sudan) (Sudan Premier League) - the top professional club division in Sudan organised by the Sudan Football Association within CAF. Regulations: the season format and the list of participating clubs are approved each year and may be adjusted to organisational conditions, in the standard model it is a national league competition, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams finish level on points, positions are decided by the tie-break sequence set in the competition rules, with common practice using goal difference and then goals scored after points. Promotion and relegation apply, while the number of relegation places and the promotion pathway are defined by season decisions and can include final stages in the lower-tier structure. Continental qualification is governed by the national CAF allocation and final standings, typically the champions and runners-up qualify for the CAF Champions League and the next best teams and the domestic cup winner where applicable enter the CAF Confederation Cup.
