Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen) - Sweden’s main domestic cup competition organised by the Swedish Football Association. Regulations: the competition features 96 clubs, including teams from Allsvenskan and Superettan plus lower-division qualifiers, it begins with knockout qualifying rounds and then moves to a group stage of eight groups of four played as single round-robin matches, with the group winners advancing to the quarter-finals. Group rankings are decided in this order: points, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, disciplinary points, higher team ranking. In knockout matches, if the score is level after 90 minutes, two periods of extra time are played and a penalty shoot-out follows if still level, quarter-finals are drawn with home advantage for the four best group winners, and the home teams in the semi-finals and the final are decided by a draw. The winner takes Sweden’s place in UEFA Europa League qualifying, and if the winner has already secured European qualification via the league, the place is reallocated to the highest-placed Allsvenskan club not yet qualified.
