Swiss Cup (Switzerland) (Schweizer Cup, Coupe Suisse, Coppa Svizzera) - Switzerland’s main domestic knockout cup competition for clubs from different levels, organised by the Swiss Football Association. Regulations: the tournament is played as a knockout competition, the main draw is typically a 64-team bracket, each round is decided by a single match, and if the score is level after normal time extra time is played and, if necessary, a penalty shoot-out decides the winner. The cup winners earn a UEFA place under Switzerland’s UEFA access list, typically UEFA Europa League qualifying, but if the access list assigns the cup-winner place to the UEFA Conference League then the winners enter UEFA Conference League qualifying, and if the cup winners qualify for the UEFA Champions League via the league and therefore enter the Champions League, the cup-winner UEFA place is reallocated to the next eligible club in the domestic league standings in line with UEFA rules.
