Vysshaya Liga (Tajikistan) (Ligai Olii Tojikiston) - the top professional club football division in Tajikistan under the Tajikistan Football Federation and the Tajikistan Football League. Regulations: 12 clubs take part, the season is played in two round-robin rounds, each team plays every opponent home and away for 22 matches in total. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. The last-placed club is relegated to the First League, while the 11th-placed club plays promotion-relegation matches against the First League runners-up. Qualification for AFC club competitions is determined by the final standings and club licensing, and under the AFC slot allocation the association has two AFC Champions League Two slots: one direct group-stage place and one place via the play-offs.
