

League Cup (Thailand) (Muang Thai Cup, Thai League Cup) - a Thai domestic knockout cup competition for professional clubs run under the authority of the Football Association of Thailand. Regulations: the tournament is played as single-match elimination, with Thai League 3 clubs entering via qualifying rounds, Thai League 2 clubs joining in a play-off round to make up a 32-team stage, and Thai League 1 clubs entering at the round of 32, while home designation is set by the draw and competition rules for clubs from different tiers. Each match is two 45-minute halves, if level after 90 minutes extra time of two 15-minute periods is played, and if still level the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out, with the final also a single match at a venue appointed by the organizer. Continental qualification: the winner typically earns a place in the ASEAN Club Championship (Shopee Cup) of the following season, subject to Thailand’s slot allocation and any season-specific licensing conditions.
