Champions Cup (Thailand) (Thailand Champions Cup) - a Thai domestic super cup match organised under the Football Association of Thailand and historically used as a season-opening fixture. Regulations: it is played as a single match between the Thai League 1 champion and the Thai FA Cup winner, while seasons in which one club holds both titles may use an alternative opponent as defined by that season’s rules. The match is 90 minutes, and if level after full time there is no extra time and the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. The competition is a super cup and does not replace the separate domestic sporting routes that determine Thailand’s continental qualification under the applicable eligibility and licensing rules.
