TFF First League (Turkey): matches and statistics

TFF First League (Turkey) (TFF 1. Lig) - the second level of professional club football in Turkey under the Turkish Football Federation. Regulations: 20 clubs play a double round-robin season, 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, ties on points are broken by head-to-head criteria and goal difference under federation rules and, if still level, an additional play-off match may be ordered. At the end of the league the teams in 1st-2nd are promoted automatically to the Süper Lig, places 3rd-7th contest the third promotion place via play-offs, the 3rd-placed team advances directly to the final, 4th hosts 7th and 5th hosts 6th in single-match ties, the winners then meet over two legs to decide the other finalist with extra time and penalties if the aggregate remains level, and the final is a single match at a neutral venue or another venue approved by the federation with extra time and penalties if required. The teams finishing 17th-20th are relegated to the TFF Second League (TFF 2. Lig).
