Uganda Premier League (Uganda Premier League) - the top-tier men’s club league in Uganda under FUFA and the league’s governing bodies. Regulations: the competition typically features 16 clubs and is played as a double round-robin with home and away matches, a win is worth 3 points, a draw 1 point, and a loss 0. If teams finish level on points, FUFA tie-breakers apply in a defined sequence, starting with head-to-head points, then head-to-head goal difference, then head-to-head goals scored and head-to-head away goals, followed by additional season-wide criteria including virtual points, overall goal difference, overall goals scored and disciplinary record, and if still level FUFA may take a final decision and, in a double round-robin, a replay match can be ordered. Sporting priority to represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League is based on the final league table, while priority for the CAF Confederation Cup comes from the Uganda Cup, and if one club wins both the league and the Uganda Cup the league runners-up are nominated for the CAF Confederation Cup. Promotion and relegation between divisions are governed by FUFA rules and club licensing and can be season-specific.
