Ukrainian Second League (Druha Liha) - the third tier of professional club football in Ukraine, organized by the Professional Football League of Ukraine under the Ukrainian Association of Football. Regulations: teams are split into two territorial groups (“A” and “B”) and play a triple round-robin within their group, with the first two rounds played home and away against each group opponent and the third round consisting of one match against each group opponent with home advantage assigned based on positions after the first two rounds. A win is worth 3 points, a draw 1, and a loss 0. If teams are level on points, ranking is determined by points in head-to-head matches among all teams tied on points at the moment of calculation, then head-to-head goal difference, then head-to-head goals scored, followed by overall goal difference and overall goals scored. The group winners are promoted to the Ukrainian First League (Persha Liha) subject to licensing and other regulatory requirements, and the two group winners also play a neutral-venue playoff to decide the Second League champion, while the two group runners-up play a neutral-venue playoff for third place. The teams finishing third and fourth in the overall Second League table play two-legged promotion playoffs against the 14th- and 13th-placed teams of the Ukrainian First League, decided on aggregate goals, with extra time and penalties after the second leg if level. The competition does not allocate direct UEFA club competition slots.
