UAE League Cup (ADIB Cup) - a domestic knockout competition for top-flight clubs in the United Arab Emirates organised under the UAE Pro League. Regulations: the tournament is played as a knockout bracket, ties up to the Final are played over two legs home and away, and the Final is a single match on neutral ground, while the bracket and hosting order are set by an official draw. The reigning ADNOC Pro League champion and the previous season’s League Cup holder receive direct qualification to the quarter-finals, and if these slots overlap the replacement mechanism is applied as defined in the competition regulations. In two-legged rounds the qualifier is determined by the outcomes of both matches, and if the tie remains level after 90 minutes in the second leg there is no extra time and the winner is decided by a penalty shootout, with the Final also going straight to penalties if level after 90 minutes. AFC club competition qualification for UAE clubs is determined by the AFC slot allocation and domestic criteria and is not automatically guaranteed by winning the League Cup.
