Presidents Cup (UAE)

UAE President’s Cup (President's Cup, كأس رئيس الدولة) - the United Arab Emirates’ national domestic knockout cup organised by the UAE Football Association, contested by clubs from the UAE Pro League and the First Division. Regulations: the competition is played as a straight knockout, with single-match ties from the Round of 32, Round of 16 and quarter-finals, and if level after 90 minutes the tie goes to two 15-minute extra-time periods and, if still level, a penalty shoot-out. The semi-finals are played over two legs home and away, each match awards points on a 3-1-0 basis, the team with more points progresses, if points are level the team with more goals over the two legs advances, and if still level after 90 minutes of the second leg the tie is decided by extra time and then penalties if required. The final is a single match and, if drawn after 90 minutes, it is decided by a penalty shoot-out with no extra time. The winner qualifies for the AFC Champions League Elite according to the UAE slot allocation and club licensing requirements, with the entry stage determined by the applicable AFC access list for the season.
