

Pro League (UAE) (UAE Pro League, ADNOC Pro League) - the top-tier professional club league in the United Arab Emirates organised by the UAE Pro League in coordination with the UAE Football Association. Regulations: the competition is contested by 14 clubs and is played in a league format, with each club facing every other club twice, home and away, for 26 matches, with points awarded on a 3-1-0 basis. If teams are level on points, positions are decided in sequence by head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, overall goal difference, overall goals scored, disciplinary ranking based on card points, then drawing of lots. At the end of the season the bottom two clubs are relegated to the First Division League, and the next season’s line-up is formed by the top 12 clubs from the previous Pro League season plus the champion and runner-up of the First Division. Qualification places for AFC club competitions follow the AFC access list, where the UAE association receives places in the AFC Champions League Elite, including direct slots and a play-off slot, as well as a place in the AFC Champions League Two, with the specific qualifiers determined by the season’s sporting criteria and AFC entry rules.
