Regulations: it is played as a single match between the previous season’s Uruguayan league champions and the Torneo Intermedio winners, with the date and venue set by the organiser, the game is 90 minutes, if level extra time is played and, if still level, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out, and if the same club wins both the league and the Torneo Intermedio the opponent is the Torneo Intermedio runners-up.
