Super League (Uzbekistan) - the top professional club football division in Uzbekistan run by the Uzbekistan Professional Football League, founded in 1992. The 16th-placed team is relegated to the Pro League, teams finishing 12th to 15th play a relegation play-off with single-match rounds, in round one 12th hosts 15th and 13th hosts 14th with the winners staying up, the two losers play in round two at the higher-ranked team’s ground with the winner staying up, the round-two loser plays away against the Pro League runner-up for a Super League place, if the score is level extra time is played and then, if necessary, a penalty shoot-out. Qualification for AFC club competitions depends on slot allocation and final standings subject to licensing requirements, Uzbekistan has two direct slots, one in the AFC Champions League Elite group stage and one in the AFC Champions League Two group stage.
