Regulations: the current competition is played by 14 clubs in a double round-robin home-and-away format with three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. If teams are level on points at the end of the season, positions are determined first by head-to-head records among the tied teams in the order of head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored and head-to-head away goals, with the calculation repeated for any remaining subset still tied, then by overall season goal difference, overall goals scored and overall away goals, followed by fair play points based on disciplinary cards, and in specific decisive cases for medals or relegation an extra play-off match may be ordered. Promotion and relegation are set by the season regulations, and under the current model the bottom club is relegated while the team above enters a relegation play-off against a second-tier opponent. Continental qualification is awarded via two AFC club competition slots to the champion and runner-up subject to club licensing, with the exact competitions and entry stages defined by the current AFC access list.
