

Welsh League Cup (Cymru Leagues Cup, Nathaniel MG Cup) - a national knock-out cup competition for clubs within the Welsh league system organised by the Football Association of Wales. Regulations: entry is mandatory for clubs playing at levels 1 and 2, and there are two wildcard places available each season for eligible men’s clubs that are FAW member clubs or compete at level 3, with wildcard allocation decided by the FAW if oversubscribed. Cymru Premier clubs receive byes to Round 2, and two clubs from Cymru North plus two clubs from Cymru South also receive byes to Round 2 based on their finishing position in the previous league season. The competition is run as a straight knock-out with draws made each round, from the Qualifying Round up to and including the Quarter Final draws are regionalised using geographical groups, from the Semi Finals onwards the draw is open, ties are played at the registered ground of the club drawn first, and the final stadium is designated by the FAW. If level after 90 minutes, extra time is not played and the winner is decided by kicks from the penalty mark.
