Arab Club Champions Cup (also known as the King Salman Club Cup) - an international club competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations, contested by clubs from Arab countries across Asia and Africa. Regulations: the competition includes qualifying rounds and a final tournament, with the organiser confirming the entry allocation and qualifying pathway for each edition, and in the current model qualifying is played as home-and-away two-legged ties decided on aggregate score. The final tournament is staged with a group phase followed by a knockout phase, typically featuring 16 clubs drawn into four groups of four, with each club playing the others once in the group, using the standard points system of 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and if teams are level on points the ranking is decided by overall goal difference in group matches, then overall goals scored, then head-to-head criteria among the tied teams, followed by disciplinary points and drawing of lots. The top two teams in each group advance to the quarter-finals, and the knockout rounds are single-leg, with quarter-finals and semi-finals typically going directly to a penalty shoot-out if level after 90 minutes, while the final provides for extra time and then penalties if required.
