Central American Cup (CONCACAF Central American Cup, Copa Centroamericana de la Concacaf) - an annual CONCACAF international club competition for Central American member associations. Regulations: the group stage has four groups of five teams, each team plays four matches (two home and two away), with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and the top two in each group advance to the quarter-finals; group standings are decided by points, then goal difference and goals scored, followed by head-to-head criteria, disciplinary points, CONCACAF club ranking position and drawing of lots. The knockout phase features two-legged quarter-finals, with winners advancing to the semi-finals and losing quarter-finalists moving into the play-in round, and the decisive rounds are also played as two-legged series; ties are decided on aggregate score with no away-goals rule, and if level on aggregate, extra time and if required a penalty shoot-out are played in the second leg. At the end of the tournament, six clubs qualify for the next CONCACAF Champions Cup: the champion receives a direct bye to the Round of 16, while the runner-up, the two losing semi-finalists and the two play-in winners enter Round One.
