CONCACAF Nations League - Qualifying (CONCACAF Nations League qualifying) - a qualifying phase used to seed and allocate national teams into the leagues for the first CONCACAF Nations League cycle. Regulations: 34 national teams take part, each team plays four matches against different opponents, two at home and two away, and all results are combined into a single overall table with no groups. Positions are decided by points, then goal difference, goals scored, away goals scored, fair play points, and finally the drawing of lots. Based on the final overall table, teams are allocated to the next stage leagues: the top six go to League A, teams ranked 7-22 to League B, and teams ranked 23-34 to League C, with Guatemala additionally placed into League C. The top ten teams in the overall table also qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, with the remaining berths reserved for the teams from CONCACAF’s final round of FIFA World Cup qualifying in the region.
