

Recopa Sudamericana (also known as the CONMEBOL Recopa) - an annual CONMEBOL club competition contested between the previous season’s Copa Libertadores winners and Copa Sudamericana winners. Regulations: the tie is played over two legs home and away, with the Copa Libertadores champions hosting the second leg, the winner is decided on aggregate score, and if the teams are level after 180 minutes extra time is played as two 15-minute periods in the second leg and, if still level, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out, with no away-goals rule applied in CONMEBOL competitions.
