Euro Championship - Qualification: matches and statistics

European Championship - Qualifying (UEFA European Championship qualifying) - the qualification cycle that determines the teams for the UEFA European Championship final tournament. Regulations: under the current system 12 qualifying groups of four or five teams are formed, teams play home and away within their group, 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, the 12 group winners and the 8 best runners-up (20 teams in total) qualify directly, up to 2 places may be reserved for host nations if they do not qualify as group winners or among the 8 best runners-up, and the remaining places are decided via play-offs between the remaining runners-up and the best ranked non-qualified UEFA Nations League group winners, with the play-off format depending on how many reserved host places are used and how many final tournament places remain to be allocated. If teams are level on points in a group, rankings are decided by head-to-head points among the tied teams, head-to-head goal difference and head-to-head goals scored, with those criteria reapplied only among any teams still tied if required, then overall goal difference, overall goals scored, overall away goals scored, overall wins, overall away wins, lower disciplinary points total (red card - 3, yellow card - 1, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match - 3), then position in the overall UEFA Nations League rankings.
