UEFA Women's Champions League (formerly the UEFA Women's Cup) - UEFA's premier European club competition for women's teams. Regulations: from the 2025/26 season the main stage uses a single 18-club league table, each club plays six single-leg matches against six different opponents, three at home and three away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. After the league phase, clubs ranked 1-4 qualify directly for the quarter-finals, clubs ranked 5-12 qualify for the knockout phase play-offs, and clubs ranked 13-18 are eliminated. The play-off draw follows predetermined seeding principles, with seeded pairs formed from positions 5 and 6 and 7 and 8, and unseeded pairs from 9 and 10 and 11 and 12, and in principle the seeded clubs play the second leg at home. In the quarter-finals, clubs ranked 1-4 are seeded and in principle host the second leg, while the semi-final and final pairings follow the competition bracket and the seeding path may be inherited by the club that eliminates a seeded team. If clubs are level on points in the league table, UEFA applies the following criteria in order: goal difference, goals scored, away goals scored, wins, away wins, lower disciplinary points, higher club coefficient. In two-legged knockout ties, the winner is decided on aggregate goals, and if still level after the second leg, extra time is played and, if required, a penalty shoot-out decides the winner. The final is a single match at a neutral predetermined stadium, with extra time and, if required, a penalty shoot-out if the score is level.
