

EURO U19 - Qualifying (UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying competition) - the qualifying phase of the European Under-19 national team championship, played as group mini-tournaments. Regulations: qualifying has three rounds, rounds 1 and 2 are split into League A and League B, round 3 is League A only, within each group each team plays one match against every other team, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a defeat. After round 1, in League A the teams ranked 1-3 stay in League A for round 2, the 4th-placed team is relegated to League B, League B group winners are promoted to League A and the other League B teams remain in League B. After round 2, in League A the teams ranked 1-3 remain in League A for round 3, League B group winners are promoted to League A for round 3, all other teams are eliminated, and if there is a vacancy it is filled by the best 4th-placed team in League A. In round 3, the seven group winners qualify for the final tournament. If teams are level on points in a group, the tie-breakers are applied in order as head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, then overall goal difference, overall goals scored, disciplinary points and the relevant ranking criterion, and if two teams meet in the last mini-tournament match, are level on points and have the same goals scored and conceded, their positions are decided by a penalty shoot-out, but only if no other team in the group finishes level on points.
