

U-17 World Cup (FIFA U-17 World Cup) - an international national-team tournament for under-17 players organised by FIFA. Regulations: the final tournament is held annually, the number of participants is fixed at 48 teams, teams are split into 12 groups of four and play a single round-robin in the group, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and the round of 32 is reached by the teams finishing 1st and 2nd in each group plus the eight best third-placed teams. If teams are level on points in a group, ranking is decided by the criteria from matches between the tied teams (points, goal difference, goals scored), then overall goal difference, overall goals scored, disciplinary team conduct points based on cards (yellow - minus 1, indirect red due to two yellows - minus 3, direct red - minus 4, yellow plus direct red in the same match - minus 5), then drawing of lots.
