Zambia Super League (MTN Super League) - the top professional club division in Zambia’s league system under the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ). Regulations: the league is played in a double round-robin format with 18 clubs, teams face each other home and away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, positions are decided by goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head results, and an additional match or playoff can be used if required by the organizer’s competition rules. At the end of the season, the bottom four clubs are relegated to the second division and the top four second-division clubs are promoted. Continental qualification is based on national CAF allocation: the league champion qualifies for the CAF Champions League, while the Zambia Cup winner (ABSA Cup) qualifies for the CAF Confederation Cup, and additional places may apply if the CAF quota changes.
