Premier Soccer League (Zimbabwe) (PSL) - the top-tier professional club league in Zimbabwe, organised under the Zimbabwe Football Association and the league body to determine the national champion. Regulations: the competition is a double round-robin league with home and away matches, the participants are confirmed for each season and the current setup features 18 clubs playing 34 matches each, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, positions are decided by the league criteria in sequence: overall goal difference, then overall goals scored, then the aggregate of head-to-head results between the tied teams, and if still level a play-off may be ordered at a neutral venue. At season end, the lowest-placed clubs are relegated to the lower division and replaced by promoted teams, with the number of relegation places set by the applicable season decisions, and the federation has explicitly confirmed a four-club relegation framework in an official clarification. The league champion qualifies for the CAF Champions League, while the national cup winner qualifies for the CAF Confederation Cup, subject to entry and licensing requirements.
