The Armenian Football Premier League, also known as the IDBank Armenian Premier League, is the top division of Armenian football. Founded in 1992, the league attracts teams from all over the country, including clubs such as Pyunik, Noah, Ararat-Armenia, and Urartu.

The 2023/2024 season included 10 teams. Each team plays 36 matches in a double round-robin tournament, meeting each opponent twice - at home and away. The season begins in August and ends in May of the following year.

The champion of the 2023/2024 season was Pyunik, who scored 85 points after 37 matches. Noah took second place with 80 points, and Ararat-Armenia finished third with 75 points. These teams showed consistency and a high level of play throughout the season.

The Armenian Premier League regulations provide for relegation and promotion of teams between divisions. The league champion receives the right to participate in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League. The teams that take second and third place, as well as the winner of the Armenian Cup, receive tickets to the UEFA Conference League. If the Cup winner also takes one of the prize places in the championship, the ticket is transferred to the next team in the ranking.

The lower teams at the end of the season can be transferred to the Armenian First League, giving way to the best clubs from the lower division. This encourages teams to fight for high places and avoid relegation, maintaining a high level of competitiveness in the league.

The league is actively working to improve the football infrastructure and conditions for the development of sports in the country. This includes modernizing stadiums, improving conditions for coaches and players, as well as developing youth programs. All these measures are aimed at raising the level of football and attracting more fans to the stadiums.

For example, in the 2023/2024 season, Pyunik showed impressive form, winning 25 matches, drawing 10 times and losing only twice, while scoring 85 goals and conceding only 28.
