Tournament Regulations:
The CSL is a double round robin tournament, with each team playing each other twice, home and away. This means each team plays 30 matches during the season. At the end of the championship, the two teams with the fewest points are relegated to League One, and their places are taken by the best teams from the second division. In the event of a tie on points, the following criteria are used to determine the place in the table:

3. Head-to-head goals scored
4. Total goal difference
5. Total goals scored
6. Reserve League points
7. U19 League points
8. Fair-Play points
9. Draw
Tournament favourites:
The main favourite of the tournament is Shanghai Port, which became champions in the previous 2023 season with 63 points. Shandong Taishan became vice-champions with 58 points. Also worth noting is Zhejiang Professional, which took third place with 55 points. These teams are considered the top contenders to win the 2024 season given their high achievements and quality squads.
